As a parent, I am so impressed with the academic rigor, positive social interactions, teachers and families at Hicks Canyon. The school definitely emphasizes a growth mindset. My kids come home and share story after story about the exciting things they are learning in school. Teachers know how to use students' critical thinking, creativity and communication skills to push their students to think out of the box. What a great place to be!

I've taught at this school since it opened and I think it's wonderful enough that I brought my own daughter here. The curriculum is challenging and the teachers are held accountable. The new principal is structured, yet fun, and has implemented a lot of great changes. The campus is secure and she is prompt and acts quickly on important issues. The students are delightful, hard working, and scholarly.

Our family has been at Hicks Canyon since 2011 and we`ve had a great 5 years at this school. Our boys have made good friends and we`ve had great experiences with their teachers. Despite it being a big school, we`ve always felt like it was a tight knit community. The technology is up to date -- every classroom has a smart board and students have access to computer labs, iPads within the classrooms. They also offer a lot of educational programs that kids can do at home as well (Lexia, ST Math, Raz Kids, etc-) and they have a great library! I would highly recommend this school!

We`ve been at Hicks for 3 years and love it. They have excellent educational technology, challenge the kids that need to be challenged, have phenomenal teachers, and a fabulous PTO.
